I graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with a BA in philosophy in 2017. I thereafter worked in local government and at a law firm before attending George Washinigton University Law School where I graduated Order of the Coif with high honors. At law school, I tutored peers for two years in Corporations, Criminal Procedure, Torts, Contracts, and Civil Procedure. Before embarking on my career as a public defender I passed the Uniform Bar Examination with a score of 339 in the 99th percentile. After two years working as a public defender, I decided to pursue graduate studies in philosophy at Florida State University where I expect to earn my M.A. in 2027. I currently work as an Assistant Professorial Lecturer of Law at GW Law where I have teach a summer course "Introduction to the 1L Classroom" guiding students through legal reasoning, statutory interpretation, and study strategies.
If you're a law student nervous about your upcoming final exams or a recent graduate preparing for the bar exam, I have the experience and knowledge to help you grasp the material and succeed on your exam. My lessons offer a unique approach to the material that will help you grasp it clearly. My teaching style is tailored to my student's learning strengths. Where commercial bar prep offers a relatively one-size-fits-all approach to legal teaching, my pedagogical approach is dynamic and interactive. If you learn visually that will inform our sessions. Likewise if you're a verbal processor who thrives on narrative examples. I offer a teaching style that is effective, attentive, and hopefully fun. For me, teaching is a deeply enjoyable enterprise and I hope my enthusiasm for teaching a subject I love will make our sessions enjoyable for you as well.
