I teach music theory, scales and chords with a heavy focus on Rock 'N Roll such as the Beach Boys, Sam Cooke, Jim Croce, the Eagles, Crosby Stills, Traveling Wilburys, Etc. Occasionally, students will ask for something more modern like Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Adele, or Lady Gaga. I bring in new sheet music to accommodate different musical tastes....

Through weekly lessons, I've seen students grow musically and intellectually. Children who learn how to play an instrument from an early age have more confidence in social environments. I was raised on a classical education in music starting on the oboe. I can confidently say that having private music lessons as an integral part of my childhood helped me think faster, be more disciplined, and be more creative. I believe every child should be able to learn from a private music teacher.
