In the corporate world, I have trained others how to use a variety of applications. Teaching / tutoring is very rewarding, especially when your students thrive and find the same joy in the creative process as you do.
Learning a new digital skill set or technique can open up new possibilities to today's students and visual artists. College bound students are now producing digital applications that they have edited themselves as an introduction to the their choice schools.

Carolynne is a very patient and knowledgeable Photoshop tutor. She knows the program very well and has a teaching style that is very easy to follow. I had specific questions and she was ready with answers. She gives you notes to follow as she teaches you a lesson, allows you to perform the lesson, and doesn’t rush you. Also she followed up up with a review to make sure that I understood everything she taught. This is a great solution for people who need to learn Photoshop well in a short amount of time.
Carolynne is a great tutor! She customized the sessions for me and accommodated my needs perfectly. We had two Photoshop lessons and both times she prepared carefully and wrote all the notes in advance. Very patient and kind. Will continue studying with her!
Besides being an excellent, patient instructor, Carolynne is a wonderful, honest, trustworthy person. This is very important in having someone in one's home and especially with the elderly who are more vulnerable. She's a wiz!
I was very pleased with Carolynne's sensitive and perceptive response to my needs. She listened carefully and responded to my questions with patience and understanding... and, most importantly for me, I never felt "rushed". She is very well informed and experienced regarding issues on the use of Photoshop as well as Microsoft Word. It was a pleasure working with her and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been using Photoshop since 1997 where I created images and corrected photos to develop websites for Parade Magazine and Dun & Bradstreet. My knowledge of Photoshop flourished while attending NYU’s Masters Degree Program in Digital Imaging and Design. It was there that I learned everything from simple auto color correction to full blown professional compositing.
I have two degrees in art. I have studied at the Art Students League as well as the National Academy Museum and School. I have taught numerous children throughout Manhattan to draw. My website shows my my recent work.
I have a Master's Degree in Digital Imaging and Design. I currently teach adults and children Photoshop. My website was created using Photoshop for the assets, Adobe After Effects for the Animation and Final Cut Pro for editing the footage.
I have been a Computer Administrator for NBC, Parade Magazine and The Museum of TV and Radio. I have been an Apple User since 1990 and own a Mac Pro and an iMac. I am proficient at troubleshooting problems and enjoy teaching new Mac users how to enjoy the ease of working on a Mac.
I am an artist (and digital animator) who finds inspiration in the various ways that movement is created using color, forms and lines. When painting I am naturally drawn to abstract expressionism. The basis of my paintings typically revolve around color relationships, the dynamics that occur between the various ways I apply the color, the diverse shapes and lines created, the negative space relationships, and the types of materials used.
When I start an abstract painting, I never know where it will take me. Sometimes I choose my own colors and sometimes circumstances choose the colors for me. I love to play with color and forms, as it seems to bring out my inner self and the creativity. My art and animations allow me to fully express myself and to share my passion with others.
I currently paint over 40 hours a week and have exhibited and sold paintings in New York. I have studied art at NYU (masters program), The Art Student's League and The National Academy of Art.
