I am a Ph.D. Student in NYC. I earned a BA in Hispanic Languages and Literature (Spanish). I have lived abroad for a year in Mexico and the Caribbean. I am very competent in the Spanish language and I also have a command of Brazilian Portuguese. Additionally, I teach English writing to both native and non-native English speakers at the university level. I have been tutoring, teaching and doing some foreign language interpreting since 2005. Previously, I was an interpreter for a medical device company in Pittsburgh. My areas of strength are in community education of foreign language and Afro-Latin American culture, language communication, grammar and youth education. I am also able to assist with ESL. In addition to language instruction/tutoring, I have Ph.D. in Geography with an emphasis on Latin American/Caribbean Histories.
