Calvin is very knowledgeable and experienced. He is extremely helpful and patient when I am requesting help on projects. Anybody would be lucky to learn from him!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As a Fashion / Technical designer working in the industry from freehand (including markers, watercolors to CADS) to work on the computer. I design for some of the big name brands to bring a concept to reality. My fashion Sketching has to be appealing, clear, and on point.
As a Life long Apple Macintosh user I started using the Macintosh computer products in high school, when I entered Pratt Institute I got more familiar with the MacBook and it's unique operating system. Now professionally I use the I Mac everyday at work in the fashion field. I am very comfortable with all the Macintosh products to share my knowledge to help someone else master the Mac.
I am a Third degree black belt in the art of Tae Kwon Do, Korean Karate. This Martial Art is 75% feet and 25% hand work. I have been an active member of this Art for the past 25 years.

As A master pattern maker, I correct and approve samples for production before their on sale at retail, for some of the biggest name brand Designer garments in the New York Fashion industry, names like Tommy Hilfiger to Polo Ralph Lauren. As a Technical Designer I wear many hats in bringing the designers concept
to life. In short I have to know all sewing and finishing techniques to fix and correct garments from swim wear, jackets, coats, Jeans and sweaters. All this was learned at Pratt Institute where I earned a BFA in Fashion Design.
