BUILDING A STORY NO ONE ELSE CAN TELL
Hi, I’m Ren. I believe education should be built around purpose, not process. I help students with the parts of the college application that set them apart: the personal statement, supplemental essays, extracurriculars, and the strategy that ties them together. I graduated high school at 16 and figured out the Common App on my own, then graduated from NYU and worked in finance. Now I give students the support I didn’t have.

HOW I WORK
We start with purpose, mapping your interests, strengths, and values into a clear direction. Then we turn that direction into an extracurricular project that helps real people, with results you can point to in your activities list and essays. Finally, we tell the true story. Think of your essays as a multi-course meal: most students serve carrots in every course, repeating the same interest across their personal statement and every supplement. I make each essay, from the Common App personal statement to “Why Us” and community essays, show a different side of you, so together they put you in a category of one. We brainstorm through questioning, then revise line by line until every sentence earns its place.
EXPERIENCE
I have mentored many high school students in New York, one on one and in small in-person workshops. At 20, I co-founded the New York Philosophical Society, a nonprofit that hosts philosophy discussions for over 46,000 guests a year, where I lead our public school partnerships and co-designed a philosophy curriculum for high school students. As a nonprofit director who writes recommendation letters, I know real impact from padding, and so do admissions readers. My students have been admitted to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Stanford, UPenn, Cornell, NYU, and USC, among many others.
