Hi! I’m Gabriel, an independent tutor focusing on secondary math (Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Pre-Calculus) as well as German for all levels. I recently graduated at the top of my class from an intensive Austrian Higher Technical Institute (HTL) in industrial engineering with an academic merit scholarship. Because my coursework blended vector mechanics, calculus, and physics into hands-on engineering projects, I have an intuitive, highly practical approach to math that goes beyond just memorizing formulas for an exam.

Throughout technical school, I regularly tutored fellow students one-on-one and led review groups before major engineering and math tests. I focus on making the underlying logic clear so students actually understand what they are doing. We work through problems together using clean, step-by-step methods, and then I have students solve problems independently so they build real confidence for quizzes and finals.

For German, I was raised fully bilingual and work with students of all ages. Whether you need help with high school or AP classwork, want to dial in your grammar, or just want to build conversational fluency, I keep lessons practical and tailored to your specific goals.

I am always happy to hop on a quick phone or video call before our first session to talk through what you’re working on. Based on the Upper East Side, I’m available for in-person lessons around Manhattan as well as online. Feel free to reach out to set up a time!

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I completed five years of rigorous secondary technical education in engineering, completing coursework that spans advanced applied mathematics, mechanics, and physics. Throughout my academic career, I have regularly tutored peers and younger students in fundamental mathematics, helping them break down complex concepts into straightforward steps. My focus is on ensuring students master linear equations, graphing, and factoring while building durable problem-solving confidence for exams.
German

German

As a native German speaker educated in Austria, I provide practical, structured instruction for all proficiency levels. I focus on breaking down core grammar, mastering nuanced case and verb structures, and building natural conversational fluency. Whether you are preparing for exams, high school coursework, or professional relocation, lessons are tailored directly to your individual goals and pace.
Prealgebra

Prealgebra

My academic background in engineering and applied mathematics provided an intensive foundation in how core arithmetic principles bridge directly into higher-level problem solving. Over several years of secondary studies, I have regularly worked with peers and younger students, guiding them through foundational topics like operations with negative numbers, fractions, ratios, and introductory variable equations. I specialize in breaking down abstract concepts into intuitive, visual steps so students understand the mechanics behind each operation rather than just memorizing steps. Through structured practice and patient guidance, I help students eliminate early math anxiety and build the core problem-solving confidence needed to excel in Algebra 1 and beyond.
Precalculus

Precalculus

Through an intensive five-year technical and engineering curriculum, I completed extensive coursework in advanced applied mathematics, vectors, analytic geometry, and trigonometry. Having regularly tutored peers and high school students through transitional math courses, I know how easily students get overwhelmed by the rapid jump from standard algebra into higher-level functions. I specialize in making complex topics intuitive (including polynomial behaviors, trigonometric identities, logarithms, and unit-circle mechanics) by linking algebraic manipulation directly to graphical understanding. My sessions focus on structured, step-by-step problem solving that demystifies abstract theory, prepares students for Calculus, and builds durable exam confidence.
