My STEM background isn't the only thing that makes me qualified to tutor middle and high school students. I have been working with children as a T.A. (teaching assistant) for years within the middle school in my local community. Over time, I have been able to grasp what makes information resonate with students regardless of their skill level in the desired subject. As a devoted academic myself, I'm very aware of the fact that memorization isn't everything. Within my tutoring sessions, I work to develop my students' understanding of the material and frequently assess such understanding with the use of practice problems, pointed questions, and building on previous topics.
