I am a high school math teacher with experience teaching students across a wide range of ability levels, from middle school math through AP Statistics and Calculus. I hold a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). I have completed advanced coursework in mathematics, including Calculus I and II, Differential Equations, Linear Algebra, and Statistics. Over the past several years, I have taught Algebra, Precalculus, AP Statistics, and Calculus in public school classrooms and through private tutoring.

As a classroom teacher, I understand that every student learns differently. My goal is not just to help students get the right answer, but to help them understand the underlying concepts so they can solve similar problems independently. Whether a student needs homework support, test preparation, help catching up after falling behind, or enrichment beyond the classroom, I adapt my explanations and pacing to meet their individual needs. I encourage students to ask questions, think through problems aloud, and build confidence as they develop stronger mathematical reasoning.

I have worked with students in one-on-one, small-group, and full-classroom settings and enjoy helping learners of all confidence levels succeed. I strive to create a supportive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. Whether you're preparing for a quiz, a final exam, or looking to strengthen your math skills over time, I'd be happy to help you reach your goals.

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

I currently teach high school mathematics and have experience helping students build strong algebra foundations. My background includes a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, an MBA, and advanced mathematics coursework. I help students strengthen their understanding of equations, functions, graphing, systems of equations, polynomials, and other core Algebra I topics while building confidence and problem-solving skills. My goal is to help students understand the "why" behind the math so they can succeed independently.
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

I have taught high school mathematics in both classroom and one-on-one settings, helping students master the concepts needed for success in Algebra II and beyond. My academic background includes a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, an MBA, and advanced math coursework. I enjoy helping students connect topics such as polynomial, exponential, logarithmic, rational, and trigonometric functions while preparing for future math courses. I tailor each lesson to the student's pace and learning style to build both understanding and confidence.
Precalculus

Precalculus

I have taught Precalculus at the high school level for 3 years and enjoy helping students connect the many topics that prepare them for calculus. My educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, an MBA, and advanced coursework. I help students develop confidence with functions, trigonometry, polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, and introductory limits. My approach focuses on building conceptual understanding while giving students effective strategies for solving challenging problems.
Trigonometry

Trigonometry

I have taught Precalculus at the high school level, including a full range of trigonometry topics from right triangle trigonometry through unit circle applications, identities, trigonometric equations, and inverse trigonometric functions. My educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, an MBA, and advanced math coursework. I help students build a strong conceptual understanding of trigonometry so they can confidently apply what they learn to more advanced topics in precalculus and calculus. Whether a student needs help preparing for a test, completing homework, or mastering challenging concepts, I tailor each lesson to their individual learning style and goals.
