Hi, I'm Julien! I'm a business student at Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, where I use algebra and quantitative reasoning daily in courses like financial accounting and in valuation work for Georgetown's student investment fund. I tutor pre-algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and middle school math, mostly for students in grades 6 through 10.
As an Army ROTC cadet, I led a squad of five and mentored junior cadets, which taught me to break complex tasks into clear steps and adapt to each person. I bring that same method to math. Every student starts from a different place: some hit a wall because they missed a building block a year earlier, and others are already strong but want to push ahead of their class or lock in an A. I meet each student where they are, whether that means rebuilding fundamentals or moving into more advanced problems.
Outside of class, I intern in business development at a New York startup and run my own small e-commerce shop, so I show up prepared, stay organized, and give parents straightforward progress updates. If you want your student more confident in math, I'd love to help!
