Hello! I am a native Japanese speaker who enjoys helping students gain confidence and have fun while learning Japanese. I teach beginner to intermediate students and focus on practical Japanese that can be used in everyday life, including conversation, pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. I have experience helping friends and international students learn Japanese, and I am comfortable explaining concepts in English when needed. My lessons are interactive, encouraging, and tailored to each student's goals and learning style.
I earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Communication from Tokyo Woman's Christian University and later earned an Associate in Applied Science degree in Interior Design from Parsons School of Design in New York. My educational and professional experiences have strengthened my communication skills and taught me how to explain complex ideas clearly and patiently. I also have experience using professional design software such as Rhino, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Revit, which allows me to support students interested in design-related subjects as well.
As a tutor, I strive to create a comfortable and supportive learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making mistakes. I believe learning should be enjoyable, practical, and connected to each student's interests. Whether you want to improve your Japanese conversation skills, prepare for travel, or explore design concepts and software, I look forward to helping you achieve your goals.
