Hello! My name is Enoch, and I am a professional violinist and educator with a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from DePauw University and a Master of Music from New York University. Throughout my musical journey, I have had the opportunity to perform as a concertmaster, orchestral musician, chamber musician, and theatrical violinist in both the United States and internationally. My performance experience includes concerts in prestigious venues across Europe as well as professional productions in New York.
I have taught violin students ranging from young beginners to adults through private lessons, university tutoring programs, and group instruction settings. My teaching experience includes one-on-one lessons, small group classes, and large ensemble instruction. I have worked with students at many different levels, helping beginners establish strong fundamentals while guiding more advanced players through technical development and repertoire preparation. Topics I commonly teach include posture, bow hold, intonation, scales, shifting, vibrato, double stops, sight-reading, musical expression, and audition preparation.
My teaching philosophy centers on building a solid technical foundation while helping students develop confidence and enjoyment in music-making. Every student learns differently, so I tailor lessons to each individual's goals, learning style, and pace. Whether you are picking up the violin for the first time, preparing for school orchestra auditions, working toward advanced repertoire, or simply looking to improve your playing, I strive to create a supportive and structured learning environment that encourages steady progress and long-term musical growth.
