I'm Veronika! I'm a senior at Stuyvesant High School with a 95 GPA and will be pursuing a computer science degree in college. I'm Veronika! I'm a senior at Stuyvesant High School with a 95 GPA and will be pursuing a computer science degree in college. From personal experience, material comprehension is only part of how students succeed in academical settings; an important skill to learn is understanding how to apply what you've learned to solve problems and answer questions in the context of the class you take and the test your teachers give. That's why I take on a personalized approach to tutoring sessions: I give students an opportunity to provide me with their tests, homework, or projects, and allow my lessons to hone in on areas of weakness in a subject rather than in its entirety.

In addition, I do provide general subject overview for students who require that extra guided practice to feel confident in class. I have always been a visual learner and I'm able to provide clarifying examples and demonstrations as needed. I pride myself on clearly outlining my lessons with the student and prioritizing comprehension during my sessions to maximize independent practice at home. Clarifying questions are always welcome, and so are suggestions on how I can alter my tutoring formatting to best suit the needs of the student.

I've worked with a fifth grade student to advance their proficiency in Algebra to that of a grade beyond their current level over the course of a year. I've also volunteered to aid elementary school students in practicing their English reading and speaking skills through read-aloud activities and writing practice.

Veronika is a very helpful tutor who not only helps improves your writing but also learns to adapt and understand the way you write instead of teaching you a whole new way of writing. Her method of teaching is very helpful because she identifies your weaknesses with you and improves it one session at a time instead of all at once. She also gives you a lot of practice to help perfect your weaknesses so you can have confidence in your writing of future essays, papers, etc.
