I am a current dental student at NYU College of Dentistry. I graduated from the Honors College at Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology and a minor in Chemistry, following a pre-dental track. I began tutoring during my undergraduate studies as a Cell Biology preceptor, where I worked closely with students to reinforce lecture material and clarify challenging concepts in small group settings.
In addition to tutoring, I was actively involved in pre-dental mentorship through pipeline programs and student organizations, where I supported both high school and college students. My role included helping students explore the pre-dental track and prepare for the dental school application process. Through these experiences, I developed the ability to adapt my teaching to students at different academic levels and with varying levels of confidence in subjects such as biology and algebra.
My teaching approach is patient, structured, and highly individualized. I focus on breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps, using active recall and practice questions to reinforce understanding. My goal is not only to help students succeed academically, but also to build their confidence and independence so they feel comfortable approaching challenging material on their own.
