Hi! I am a professional software engineer and current Data Science Master's student at the CUNY School of Professional Studies, having previously earned my BS in Computer Science from Hunter College. I have spent the last few years building full-stack products and data infrastructure at companies like Bloomberg, Microsoft, and AIG. But when it comes to tutoring, I am not here to just hand you a rigid template or read off a slide. I want to make sure you fundamentally understand the "why" behind every concept we tackle.
My teaching approach focuses heavily on the actual workflow of being a digital creator. Whether we are debugging code, building a predictive model, or doing 3D character modeling in Maya, I teach the meta-skills that make learning easier. A big part of my curriculum is helping you avoid cognitive friction. We will cover things like effective touch typing to prevent constant context switching, and I will show you exactly how to search for and read technical documentation so you can find answers that actually make sense to you. My goal is to make you a completely self-sufficient problem solver.
Over the past three years, my teaching background has involved one-on-one technical mentorship. I have guided college interns, junior developers, and career-transitioning adults through complex technical challenges. I regularly work with high schoolers taking AP Computer Science, university students navigating tough data structures courses, and adult learners building out their first 3D or software projects. I tailor everything to your specific learning style and pace. I am looking forward to helping you take the frustration out of learning and start building things you are proud of.
