I am currently a dermatology resident physician at a major academic medical center in New York City. My academic training includes extensive coursework in biology, physiology, anatomy, and biochemistry through both pre-medical and medical education, along with preparation for exams such as the MCAT and USMLE. Because I use these concepts every day in clinical medicine, I am able to explain them in a practical and intuitive way that helps students truly understand the material.
During my medical training I have spent years teaching and mentoring students. As a resident physician I regularly teach medical students during clinical rotations and help them prepare for exams, presentations, and clinical problem-solving. I have worked primarily with college students, pre-medical students, and medical students in one-on-one and small group settings.
My tutoring style focuses on simplifying complex topics and helping students develop efficient ways to study. Rather than relying on memorization alone, I teach students clear frameworks for understanding difficult concepts and working through exam-style questions. Many students find that this approach helps them build confidence and perform much better on challenging science courses and standardized exams.
I also work with students applying to medical school, helping them refine personal statements, organize their applications, and prepare for interviews.
