I have been working with children in educational settings since high school (10+ years), volunteering as both a middle school and elementary school teacher. I’ve taught students of many ages and learning styles, including children with special needs.
I graduated from Columbia University with a double major in Visual Arts and Art History. As a top graduate of a rigorous academic program, I am passionate about the subject and know how to teach it well.
In addition to my academic training, I currently work in the art world, constantly researching and learning about new art trends and artists. Whether it’s helping students understand major movements and historical contexts, develop visual analysis skills, or explore art in a deeper and more engaging way, I’m sure I can improve visual literacy and make students love the subject. I emphasize on connecting historical ideas to the art made today, making the subject feel relevant and exciting rather than purely academic.
I am also experienced in teaching AP Art History.
