I have a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Stony Brook University, with concentrations in science and mathematics, as well as a Master's degree in Biostatistics from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. I have been a math tutor in the past in high school and worked as an ABA therapist for about 4 years, which gave me great communication skills and lots of patience.
I have also tutored younger children as a part of my past role as an ABA therapist from ages 3-15. I am interested in applying my skills to more graduate-level and advanced tutoring, specifically helping people who need urgent consultations regarding data analysis. I am adept at data analysis in R and SAS, and also using relevant AI in order to assist me with projects.
The tutoring that I did before, as an ABA therapist and in school, was always one-on-one. I have also done a small amount of tutoring within my graduate program, which mostly consists of code demonstrations and homework help. Typically, I use step-by-step problem-solving in order to effectively explain concepts to students so that each concept can be broken down into smaller ones.
