Hi, I'm Anjali! I'm a recent graduate from UCLA (graduated June 2025) with a Bachelor's degree in Business-Economics, and also on the pre-med track. I've taken a wide variety of classes spanning from economics/accounting classes to the pre-med pre-req classes (physics, chem, bio, psychology, etc.).

I recently applied to medical school, and because of this I took the MCAT and am very familiar with essay writing/interview preparation. In high school, I took both the SAT and ACT, and took an abundance of AP classes (AP Physics 1 and 2, AP Biology, AP Psychology, AP Calc AB and BC, AP Macroeconomics, AP Statistics, AP Human Geography, AP Lang and Comp, etc.)

I have been tutoring ever since freshman year of college (about 5 years now), ranging from students in high school and college. I tutor quite frequently in Chemistry, Physics, and Accounting, but have also tutored in SAT, ACT, MCAT, Biology, and multiple AP courses.

I'm super excited to work with you and hopefully help you achieve your academic goals! Please reach out with any questions and/or to schedule your first session!

Approved Subjects

ACT Math

ACT Math

I scored a 34 on the ACT and have five years of tutoring experience, including standardized test preparation. My ACT students have gone on to achieve scores of 33 and above. I tailor preparation to each student's individual strengths and weaknesses, combining targeted content review with test-taking strategies, timed practice, and question-by-question analysis to improve both accuracy and confidence.
Biology

Biology

As a UCLA graduate who completed the full pre-medical curriculum, I have extensive academic experience in biology and the life sciences. I have spent five years tutoring high school and college students and have also completed neuroscience research. I help students simplify complex biological processes, connect concepts rather than rely on memorization, and develop effective strategies for coursework and exams.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I completed the full pre-medical curriculum at UCLA, including general and organic chemistry coursework, and have five years of experience tutoring high school and college students. I help students understand challenging chemistry concepts, work through problem-solving strategies step by step, and prepare effectively for quizzes and exams. My approach focuses on building a strong conceptual foundation so students can confidently solve problems independently.
Financial Accounting

Financial Accounting

I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business Economics and have five years of tutoring experience, including college-level financial accounting. I help students understand topics including the income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows, accounts receivable, bad debt, inventory methods, cost of goods sold, adjusting entries, and financial ratios. Rather than relying on memorized rules, I focus on helping students understand how transactions flow through the financial statements and why accounting relationships work, making it easier to tackle unfamiliar problems on homework and exams.
Interview Prep

Interview Prep

I am a UCLA graduate currently working in Business Development, and I have firsthand experience navigating competitive interviews across college admissions, medical school, biotechnology, business, and startup-related roles. My interview experience began with the college admissions process, during which I applied to 21 universities and ultimately attended UCLA. I later completed the pre-medical curriculum and went through the medical school application process, including interviewing with medical schools. Professionally, I have interviewed for competitive internships and full-time opportunities across biotechnology, business development, venture capital, healthcare, and startups. I use that experience to help students and early-career professionals become stronger, more confident interviewers. We can work through “Tell me about yourself,” “Why this school/company/role?”, behavioral and situational questions, strengths and weaknesses, resume-based questions, and other challenging prompts. I also conduct mock interviews and provide direct feedback on both the content and delivery of responses. My approach is not to give you a script to memorize. Instead, I help you identify the strongest stories from your own experiences, structure them effectively, and practice communicating them naturally and confidently. Whether you are preparing for a college interview, internship, medical or professional school interview, or your first professional role, I tailor each session to the specific opportunity and interview format.
MCAT

MCAT

I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business Economics while completing the full pre-medical curriculum, and I personally studied for and took the MCAT before applying to medical school. I earned a perfect 132 on the Psychology/Sociology section and have five years of tutoring experience across biology, chemistry, physics, psychology, and other quantitative subjects. I understand firsthand that the MCAT requires more than simply memorizing content. I help students identify whether they are losing points because of content gaps, passage interpretation, timing, or test-taking strategy, and tailor our sessions accordingly. My approach emphasizes building strong foundational knowledge, learning how to reason through passage-based questions, and developing a repeatable strategy for approaching unfamiliar problems. I am particularly well suited for students seeking support in Psychology/Sociology, while my pre-med coursework and extensive STEM tutoring experience allow me to support students with foundational concepts across the science sections as well.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I am a UCLA graduate with firsthand experience navigating both college and medical school admissions. I applied to 21 colleges and ultimately attended UCLA. As a pre-med student, I later completed the medical school application process, including personal statements and secondary essays. I help students brainstorm, structure, and refine personal statements while keeping their individual voice at the center. I focus on identifying the strongest experiences to highlight, developing a cohesive narrative, and editing for clarity and impact. I can support students at any stage, from choosing a topic and outlining to revising a final draft.
Physics

Physics

I completed the full undergraduate physics sequence required for pre-medical students at UCLA and have five years of tutoring experience with high school and college students. I help students translate complicated physics problems into manageable steps, understand the concepts behind equations, and determine which approach to use rather than simply memorizing formulas. I also have experience with physics in the context of MCAT preparation.
Psychology

Psychology

I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Business Economics while completing the full pre-medical curriculum and have five years of experience tutoring high school and college students. Psychology was also one of my strongest areas during my own MCAT preparation, particularly the Psychology/Sociology section. I help students understand and differentiate psychological theories, terminology, research methods, and behavioral concepts while emphasizing application over memorization. My goal is to make dense material easier to organize, retain, and apply confidently on exams.
