I graduated from Lehman College in 2020 with a degree in Mathematics, and I also passed Actuarial Exam FM that same year, so I have been through the stress of high-stakes math exams myself and I know what it takes to prepare for them. Since then, I have been working as a software engineer in financial services, healthcare, and real estate tech, which means I can show students not just how to solve problems but why the math they're learning actually shows up in real careers.

I started tutoring back in 2019 at Summer In The City, an engineering camp where I helped kids build robots and learn about vertical farming. That fall I began tutoring seventh-grade Algebra at WHEELS, mostly one-on-one and in small groups, the student I worked with regularly saw real improvements on tests, which was honestly the most rewarding part. I also helped out in a ninth and tenth-grade special education Algebra class, and it was great to see those students pass their Regents. When everything moved online in 2020, I tutored tenth-grade Geometry over Zoom at KAPPA International. The students seemed to genuinely enjoy our sessions, and the lead teacher gave me a strong review.
My approach is pretty simple: I break things down step by step, and I pay attention to how each student learns best with patience. Some people need to see it drawn out, some need to talk through it, and some just need a few more practice problems before it clicks. Whether you're working on middle school basics, getting ready for the Regents, pushing through college math, or curious about programming, I'm here to help you actually understand the material, not just get through it.
