I primarily work with with students applying to college and graduate programs to hone their application essays and resumes, prepare for interviews, and prepare for standardized testing. I hold a degree in Geosciences from Princeton University, with honors, and a JD and MS from the University of Michigan, also with honors. I have tutored for several years, ranging from middle to high school earth science and chemistry to writing, English, and general study strategies. I have also consulted for several years on undergraduate and graduate school admissions, primarily on helping applicants write persuasive admissions essays and present a cohesive overall story.
During law school, I taught an undergraduate writing course and took a course on teaching pedagogy. I was also a senior editor of the Michigan Law Review, the premier legal journal at Michigan Law School. I have worked as an associate attorney at a nonprofit, held a federal clerkship with a district judge, and am now a legal scholar at Columbia Law School.
I am passionate about helping others achieve their goals, whether it be to improve grades, get into undergraduate or graduate school, or otherwise plan their next steps. I believe strongly in a close working relationship with my clients, and will be there for you every step of the way. Please note that in my capacity as a tutor, I am not providing legal advice.
