Hello, my name is Omeed, and I’m a graduate of Cornell University, where I earned a degree in Human Development with minors in Music and Gerontology. I graduated in the top 1% of my class and am an incoming medical student. I have over five years of tutoring and teaching experience, working with students from elementary school through college in one-on-one and small-group settings. I scored in the 99th percentile on the SAT and above the 90th percentile on the MCAT, and I tutor students in standardized test preparation as well as advanced coursework in math, science, and english.
At Cornell, I served as a Teaching Assistant for biochemistry and general chemistry courses, where I led review sessions, supported students individually, and helped them develop effective strategies for understanding complex material and performing well on exams. Outside of the classroom, I have taught English to ESL learners and provided individualized tutoring in trumpet performance, math, science, writing, and test preparation. Much of my work has focused on helping students identify conceptual gaps, build strong study systems, and gain confidence in challenging subjects.
I place a strong emphasis on tailoring my teaching approach to the student in front of me and their learning style. I understand how challenging it can be to work toward big academic goals, whether that’s succeeding in a class, preparing for an exam, or studying for a standardized test, and how valuable it can be to have a supportive instructor alongside you. My goal is always to encourage students while adapting my teaching style to best meet their needs and help them progress with confidence. I look forward to meeting with you!
