I am an engineering graduate from the University of York (Russell Group) with further academic experience at Imperial College London, and I hold an MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University. I did well academically throughout, achieving top marks in English, Mathematics, and Sciences from secondary school through to postgraduate level. That foundation in analytical thinking is something I genuinely enjoy passing on, whether the subject is technical or creative.
In addition to my engineering background, I hold a Grade 8 Piano qualification (ABRSM) with a background in performance, composition, and music theory. I find that connecting mathematical logic to rhythmic patterns and step by step progression works really well for students who learn best through structure rather than rote memorization, and that way of thinking shapes how I approach teaching across all subjects.
My tutoring style is calm, encouraging, and methodical. I focus on breaking things down into manageable steps rather than overwhelming students with information all at once. Whether I am helping a younger student build confidence in foundational math or working through technical engineering concepts with a university student, I try to create an environment where asking questions feels easy and natural. The goal is always for students to walk away feeling more capable and able to tackle problems on their own.
