I am a graduate of Haverford College, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree summa cum laude with high honors in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in Spanish. My academic training emphasized intensive writing, research, and critical analysis, and I completed an undergraduate thesis that required long-term independent research, drafting, and revision. Throughout college, I developed strong skills in academic writing, reading comprehension, and social science coursework, which form the foundation of my tutoring approach. I am especially prepared to tutor in writing, English, humanities, and study skills, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that may feel overwhelming at first.

I have several years of experience working directly with students in both educational and mentoring roles. As a summer intern with an academic enrichment program, I helped develop curriculum and supported middle and high school students in classroom and small-group settings. My tutoring approach is patient, collaborative, and individualized. I focus on meeting students where they are, breaking complex assignments into manageable steps, and helping them develop skills they can use independently in the future. I have worked with students ranging from middle school through college age.

In addition to formal tutoring experience, my professional background has strengthened my ability to teach writing and communication skills. I have worked in editorial and advocacy roles that required extensive writing, editing, and clear communication with diverse audiences. These experiences allow me to help students not only improve grammar and structure, but also develop stronger arguments, clearer expression, and greater confidence in their academic work. Whether assisting with homework, essays, or long-term academic goals, I am committed to creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment tailored to each student’s needs.
