I am a current second-year medical student in the United States who has recently and successfully navigated the medical school admissions process, earning acceptance to ten MD programs, including multiple schools in New York. My educational background includes extensive coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, biochemistry, psychology, and sociology, as well as rigorous preparation for and completion of the MCAT. Because my own admissions experience is recent, I have a current and realistic understanding of the academic expectations, application components, and strategies that medical schools and colleges value most.

I have several years of tutoring and teaching experience working with students ranging from middle school through post-baccalaureate levels. My work has included one-on-one tutoring, small group instruction, and volunteer academic support in both in-person and online settings. I have taught core premedical subjects such as general chemistry, organic chemistry, biology, biochemistry, physics, and math, as well as MCAT-specific content and test-taking strategy. My teaching approach focuses on building strong conceptual understanding, adapting to individual learning styles, and helping students develop effective study habits, organization skills, and confidence.

In addition to subject tutoring, I have significant experience mentoring students through the college and medical school application process. I have helped applicants with personal statement development, secondary essay editing, activity descriptions, interview preparation, and overall application strategy. I work with students at various stages, including first-time applicants and reapplicants, and tailor my guidance to each student’s background and goals. My goal is to help students present authentic, compelling applications while also developing the academic and professional skills needed for long-term success.

Approved Subjects

Genetics

Genetics

I have extensive training in genetics through multiple undergraduate and medical school–level courses, all of which I completed with excellent academic performance. My coursework covered molecular genetics, Mendelian and non-Mendelian inheritance, gene regulation, population genetics, and clinically relevant genetic disorders. In medical school, I further applied genetics to disease mechanisms, diagnostics, and board-style problem solving, strengthening my ability to explain complex concepts clearly and efficiently. This background allows me to tutor genetics with a strong balance of foundational theory, clinical relevance, and exam-focused strategy.
MCAT

MCAT

I scored in the 95th percentile on the MCAT and have been tutoring MCAT content and strategy for the past two years. My experience includes helping students master high-yield science concepts, improve CARS performance, and develop efficient test-taking strategies tailored to their strengths and weaknesses. I emphasize structured study planning, passage-based reasoning, and data interpretation skills that are essential for success on the exam. Having recently completed the MCAT myself, I provide up-to-date, practical guidance aligned with the current exam format.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I have extensive experience in neuroscience through a formal undergraduate concentration in the subject and four years of bench research focused on epilepsy. My background includes in-depth study of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, synaptic transmission, and neural circuits, as well as hands-on experience investigating seizure mechanisms at the cellular and molecular level. In medical school, I have further integrated this knowledge into clinical neuroscience, strengthening my ability to connect foundational concepts with neurological disease. This combination of academic training and research experience allows me to teach neuroscience with both conceptual depth and real-world relevance.
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

I have extensive experience editing personal statements and application essays for college and medical school applicants, informed by my own success in the admissions process, including acceptance to multiple MD programs. I have worked closely with applicants to refine their narratives, clarify motivations, and strengthen structure, tone, and clarity while preserving an authentic voice. My approach emphasizes storytelling, self-reflection, and alignment with admissions expectations, rather than generic or formulaic writing. This experience allows me to provide targeted, constructive feedback that helps applicants present compelling and professional personal statements.
