Prior to medical school, I earned my undergraduate degree at Penn State University, where I served as a teaching assistant for multiple upper-level biology and psychology courses. In these roles, I led review sessions, assisted with lab instruction, clarified complex concepts, and supported students. I also worked as a tutor for student-athletes at Penn State, providing one-on-one academic support in multiple courses. This involved working closely with college students of varying academic backgrounds and learning styles.
In addition, I have experience as an EMT class instructor, where I taught emergency medical concepts and clinical skills to learners preparing for certification. I developed lesson plans, led classroom instruction, and focused on ensuring students understood both foundational concepts and real-world application. I currently work as a running coach with Fleet Feet and volunteer as a pacer for a local run club, where I regularly teach biomechanics, injury prevention, and training principles. This has strengthened my ability to communicate complex scientific and anatomical concepts in a clear, practical way.
