Hi, I’m Michael. I graduated from Harvard College (A.B.) and scored a 178 on the LSAT and a 2400 on the SAT, both on my first attempts. Over the past several years, I’ve tutored students across the country in standardized test preparation, with a primary focus on the LSAT. My students typically start in the 150s and, through consistent work and targeted strategy, reach scores in the 170s and beyond. I’ve worked with college students, recent graduates, and career changers alike—each with unique strengths and challenges—and take pride in tailoring my instruction to the individual learner.
My approach draws on the same methods I used to achieve my own score: learning to think like the test makers. I use a Socratic style of tutoring to challenge students to articulate their reasoning and uncover their own blind spots. By focusing on the logical structure behind questions rather than memorization or shortcuts, my students gain lasting mastery of the LSAT’s core reasoning skills. We work on identifying argument patterns, anticipating trap answers, and developing flexible strategies for games and reading comprehension. This process not only boosts scores but also builds confidence and analytical precision that extend far beyond the exam itself.
