I’m Dev! I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics. In college, I realized that the classes I enjoyed most weren’t just about the subject itself, but about the way the material was explained. The professors who made complex topics clear and engaging—and were always willing to provide extra help—greatly shaped my own approach to learning. I try to bring this philosophy to my tutoring by making STEM subjects approachable, understandable, and even enjoyable.
I use structured lesson plans in which I introduce concepts in a clear and interactive way, explicitly teach the material, and then provide time for students to practice on their own. Of course, I adjust my approach based on the subject and each student’s individual needs.
I have multiple years of experience teaching STEM subjects to students of all ages, from elementary to high school, primarily through after-school programs with Snapology. I’ve worked closely with students who needed extra support, helping them build confidence and mastery in subjects ranging from Math to Science. I achieved the 99th percentile on all standardized tests, including a 36 in ACT Science and 35 in ACT Math, and I strive to help my students reach their highest potential.
I want to benefit the students I work with as much as possible, so I’m happy to incorporate any resources or suggestions from students or parents. I’m easy to reach and always respond promptly. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to schedule a lesson!
