Hello, my name is Isaac. I graduated from Yeshiva University with a degree in Psychology and a 4.0 GPA. My academic background includes social, developmental, cognitive, and abnormal psychology, as well as research methods and statistics. I also have experience conducting psychological research, where I worked with data and applied statistical methods. In addition to my academic experience, I have worked in a clinical setting supporting individuals with significant mental health challenges. This gave me the opportunity to apply what I learned in psychology to real situations and develop a better understanding of how psychological concepts are used in practice.
I recently began teaching Earth Science and Conceptual Physics to high school students. In the classroom, I explain new concepts, answer questions, and work with students who have different levels of understanding. This experience has helped me become more comfortable finding different ways to explain material and recognizing when a student needs a different approach. I am comfortable tutoring psychology, statistics, Earth Science, and physics.
When tutoring, I try to make it easy for students to ask questions and tell me when they are confused. I first try to figure out what part of the material is giving them trouble and then work through it with them. I adjust my explanations depending on the student and the material we are working on.
