Over the past 6 years I have tutored students from 13 to 54 in general computer science topics and mobile app development. These students were taking classes such as AP Computer Science Principles and AP Computer Science A. In addition, I have tutored students taking a variety of courses taught in Java and C++ at university. Finally, I have experience teaching mobile development using Xcode, Android Studio, Flutter and React Native.
In college, I’ve continued honing my teaching skills through various initiatives. As a mentor for the Launchpad program, I guide students in developing technical projects growing their interest in computer science.
The languages I have learned and taught over last 8 years include Java, data structures, C, C++, javascript, React, Node and python. I have a really good understanding of object-oriented programming design and have lots of experience helping students to design applications and games using object-oriented design principles.
As a tutor, I make learning engaging and accessible by focusing on hands-on exercises, interactive discussions, and small activities like brainstorming questions during class. I strive to build your confidence, enabling you to solve problems independently. I have successfully worked with students from diverse backgrounds and ages ranging from 12 to 54, helping them excel in their coursework, prepare for exams, and tackle challenging projects with confidence.
