My educational background is rooted in the performing arts. In my undergraduate program, I took a mix of musical theatre and music history courses that gave me a strong foundation in performance, theory, and storytelling. I’m now in my master’s program at NYU studying voice performance with a focus on musical theatre, where I’ve been able to deepen my technique and grow as both a singer and performer. I’ve also spent years singing in choirs, which has shaped my musicianship and my ability to collaborate in ensemble settings.
My teaching experience started in undergrad, where I worked with a private student one-on-one and got my first real taste of guiding someone through vocal growth. After that, I went on to teach voice lessons at a local studio in Columbus, working with students on everything from healthy technique to musical expression. I love keeping my approach relaxed, supportive, and practical. My goal is always to make things feel approachable and help students understand how technique and storytelling connect.
