Hello! My name is Pranav, and I’m currently a medical student at a top-20 U.S. medical school. Before medical school, I graduated from the Honors College at the University of Texas at Dallas while majoring Summa Cum Laude in Biology and minoring in Public Health. My undergraduate years were shaped by extensive teaching experience: I served as a Teaching Assistant for multiple university-level biology courses, and I was selected as a first-year leader to co-teach a freshman seminar class independently alongside a faculty member. These roles taught me how to break challenging material into clear, approachable steps and how to adapt explanations for students at many different levels.
In addition to classroom teaching, I worked as an EMT and eventually became a Field Training Officer, mentoring new EMTs one-on-one in both clinical reasoning and technical skills. Guiding trainees during real emergencies instilled in me a calm, structured, and highly individualized teaching style - one that focuses on foundational understanding, pattern recognition, and building confidence under pressure.
I also bring a unique perspective from the admissions side. I serve as an interviewer for my medical school, giving me insight into how applicants are evaluated. This allows me to support students not only with content mastery but also with personal statements, secondary essays, application strategy, and mock interviews. My goal is always to help students present their most authentic story while navigating a competitive admissions landscape.
Whether we’re working on MCAT preparation, undergraduate coursework, or application materials, I prioritize creating a supportive and encouraging environment. I aim to teach students how to truly understand concepts - rather than memorize them - so they can apply their knowledge flexibly and confidently on exam day and beyond. I genuinely enjoy seeing students grow and reach milestones they once found intimidating, and I’d be thrilled to help you do the same.
