Hello! My name is Terezija, and I am a PhD-trained neuroscientist with nearly a decade of experience teaching, mentoring, and supporting students in biology, neuroscience, psychology, and scientific writing. My academic training spans several internationally recognized research institutions, including Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Rutgers University, IIT-Madras, and the University of Zagreb. Throughout my career I have guided high school, college, and graduate students through challenging coursework, research projects, exam preparation, and long-term study planning. I have received multiple academic honors during my graduate studies, and my work has been published and presented within the neuroscience community.
I specialize in breaking down complex scientific concepts into clear, logical steps tailored to each student’s learning style. Whether we are reviewing cell biology, preparing for an MCAT science section, or organizing a research paper, my teaching approach is calm, structured, and focused on true understanding rather than memorization. I use visual explanations, real-world examples, and step-by-step problem solving to help students build confidence, independence, and long-lasting academic skills.
For new students, I offer a brief introductory meeting to understand goals, challenges, and learning preferences before we begin formal lessons. I ask for at least 12 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling so I can plan effectively for all students. My priority is to create a supportive, organized learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, and improving steadily over time.
If you’d like to learn more or schedule a lesson, I’m always happy to connect. I look forward to helping you reach your goals with clarity, confidence, and a personalized plan that makes science feel manageable — and even enjoyable.
