Whether the topic was cellular processes in biology or fundamentals of coding and computational thinking, my goal was always to help students truly understand the “why” behind what they were learning, not just memorize information.
My approach to tutoring is personalized, structured, and supportive. I start by identifying each student’s current level, learning style, and goals, then build a targeted plan to help them progress with confidence. For biology students, I emphasize conceptual understanding, visual learning, and application-based practice to prepare for exams such as the Regents, AP Biology, or college-level coursework. For computer science students, I focus on building strong fundamentals, problem-solving skills, and logical thinking, while helping them gain confidence writing and understanding code. Across all subjects, I strive to create a relaxed, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not just to improve grades, but to help students develop lasting skills, confidence, and a genuine interest in learning.
