I am a New York State–certified math teacher (grades 7–12) with over 10 years of experience supporting student success in mathematics. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Spanish Studies from Fordham University, and a Master of Science in Adolescent Mathematics Education from St. John’s University. I am also a Math for America Master Teacher Fellow, a highly selective program recognizing exceptional mathematics educators. I currently teach at one of the highest-ranked public high schools in New York State, where I guide students through rigorous math coursework and help them develop strong problem-solving skills.
Over the past eight years, I have taught a wide range of courses, including Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Trigonometry, AP Precalculus, and Calculus. Before that, I spent two years as a teaching assistant. My instruction blends direct teaching with discovery- and inquiry-based learning to help students not only master concepts, but truly understand the “why” behind them.
My teaching philosophy centers on conceptual depth, confidence-building, and meaningful practice. I have experience with project-based learning and supporting learners with diverse needs, including students with disabilities. Whether your goal is to build foundational skills, excel in advanced courses, or boost confidence in mathematics, I tailor each session to the student’s learning style and goals — ensuring steady progress, stronger problem-solving, and long-term success in math.
