Hello! I’m Christopher — a professional aerospace engineer in NYC with a passion for helping students master mathematics at every level. I hold a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.

Math has always been my strongest language. I earned a 36 on the Math section of the ACT and went on to apply those skills every day in engineering design and analysis. Over the years, I’ve taught and tutored students through both university teaching positions and Varsity Tutors, covering topics from algebra to Calculus III, Differential Equations, and ACT Math prep.

I believe math shouldn’t feel like memorization — it should feel like understanding the language of logic and patterns. I focus on building strong conceptual foundations, then connecting those ideas to practical examples to make the material make sense.

Whether you’re aiming for a perfect ACT score, tackling college-level calculus, or just trying to finally “get” derivatives and integrals, I’ll tailor lessons to your pace and learning style so math feels intuitive, not intimidating.

Approved Subjects

Calculus

Calculus

I have extensive experience tutoring calculus at both high school and university levels. I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus exam and have years of experience helping students master concepts from limits and derivatives to integrals and series. I hold degrees in Chemical and Aerospace Engineering, and I currently work as an aerospace engineer, applying calculus daily in real-world contexts. My teaching style focuses on building strong conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and confidence for both exams and coursework.
Differential Equations

Differential Equations

Differential equations is my favorite area of mathematics. I tutored this subject for two years at the Colorado School of Mines, helping students master both the conceptual foundations and problem-solving techniques. As an aerospace engineer, I apply differential equations daily to model complex systems of fluid flow!
Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics

I hold a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where I completed multiple advanced thermodynamics courses. My academic background provides a strong theoretical foundation in classical and applied thermodynamics, including energy balances, phase equilibria, and real-gas behavior. In addition to my studies, I work professionally as an engineer, applying thermodynamic principles daily to analyze systems, optimize performance, and solve complex real-world problems. I enjoy helping students connect theoretical concepts to practical applications, making thermodynamics more intuitive and manageable.
