I’m a Rice University graduate with a double major in Political Science and Finance, and I have extensive experience tutoring students of different ages in writing, college counseling, and academic skills development. I work closely with students to strengthen their writing across subjects, navigate the college admissions process, and build confidence in their ideas and communication.

Much of my tutoring focuses on writing support, whether that’s improving structure and clarity for English or history essays, developing strong arguments, or refining grammar and style. I aim to meet students where they are and help them feel more confident expressing their thoughts, both on the page and in conversation.

I also specialize in college admissions counseling. I’ve helped students craft compelling Common App personal statements, develop thoughtful supplemental essays, and prepare for college interviews. As a former Rice University admissions interviewer, I enjoy helping students understand what schools are looking for and how to present themselves authentically and effectively.

In addition to my tutoring experience, my professional background includes roles at the Council on Foreign Relations and Goldman Sachs, which has strengthened my analytical, writing, and mentoring skills. I especially enjoy working with students who are interested in political science, finance, or related fields, but I’m happy to support students across a wide range of interests.

If you’re looking for support with writing, college counseling, or academic skill-building, I’d love to connect and learn more about how I can help.

Approved Subjects

College Counseling

College Counseling

As a Rice University undergraduate, I interviewed prospective students and submitted reports to the admissions team. These reports were used to evaluate applications for the 2025 admissions cycle.
Debate

Debate

I have over five years of experience as a competitive debate student, developing strong skills in research, argumentation, and public speaking. As President of Model United Nations, I led conferences, mentored newer members, and facilitated structured debate on complex global issues. Through these roles, I gained deep familiarity with parliamentary procedure, resolution writing, and diplomatic negotiation. My experience has strengthened my ability to analyze issues from multiple perspectives and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively. I now work at the Council on Foreign Relations where I practice these skills in a professional capacity.
English

English

I have experience tutoring students in writing, public speaking, and presentation skills—all tasks related to strong communication. I’ve helped students find their voice, communicate clearly and concisely, and develop tools that support long-term improvement.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

I studied Political Science during my undergraduate experience, which involved writing dozens of papers and delivering presentations on a wide range of topics. In addition to my major, I completed writing assignments across various disciplines (ex. English, history, art history, and business, etc.). In my current role as a Research Associate, I spend a significant portion of my day writing, reading, and producing research materials
Executive Functioning

Executive Functioning

I work as an executive functioning tutor and am also a student with ADHD, which has allowed me to develop effective, real-world strategies for staying organized, productive, and academically successful. Through my own experience, I’ve built a wide toolkit of skills for time management, task initiation, prioritization, and follow-through. I’ve also worked directly with students who have ADHD, helping them adapt these strategies to fit their individual learning styles and needs. My approach is practical, flexible, and grounded in methods I actively use myself.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

As a business major, I completed numerous presentations, a skill I continued to develop during my role at Goldman Sachs. I’ve participated in various types of interviews, including job interviews and college admissions interviews, and I’ve also conducted interviews myself—both as a student interviewer at Rice University and in my current professional role. My involvement in extracurricular activities such as Model UN and Debate helped me refine these communication and analytical skills early on.
