I love helping students gain confidence in math and writing!

I studied economics in both college and graduate school. For college, I first attended the George Washington University where I double majored in Political Science and Economics. Then, I transferred to Eugene Lang College and solely majored in Economics, where I graduated with my B.A. and departmental honors. A few years later I earned my Master's in Economics at the University of Texas at Austin in an accelerated program.

Though my degrees show my proficiency in mathematics and statistics, I have taken various courses in literature/writing throughout my education and earned a 3.94 cumulative GPA by the end of college which shows my success in other subjects as well.

I have taught and tutored students of many ages -- I've been a substitute teacher for elementary school students, an after school tutor for middle school students, and an ad-hoc hourly tutor for high school and college students, even helping with SAT and ASVAB test prep.

Everyone in my immediate family is a certified teacher, so teaching and tutoring is in my blood. I love helping students develop confidence in subjects they previously struggled with, and I often use real-world examples and the individual's interests to contextualize the area of study.
