Hello! My name is Beliz, and I am passionate about helping students succeed in math, standardized testing, and statistics. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering and am currently pursuing my Master’s in Management Science and Engineering at Columbia University. With a strong quantitative background, I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into clear, step-by-step explanations that make learning approachable and even enjoyable.

I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience across different levels. Most recently, I worked as a Statistics instructor for Columbia’s Academic Success Programs (Summer Bridge), where I taught incoming college students using engaging lectures, problem-solving practice, and real-world applications. In addition, I have tutored high school students in SAT math preparation and college students in chemistry and quantitative methods, tailoring my teaching methods to meet the unique learning styles and goals of each student.

My approach to tutoring is built on patience, clarity, and confidence-building.
