I scored a 132 on the MCAT Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) section, the highest possible score, and a 519 overall. CARS is the only subject I tutor, so every session draws directly on the strategies that earned that score.

EDUCATION
I graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan with a double major in Spanish and Biology, Health, and Society. I later earned a Master of Public Health from Columbia University with a 4.0 GPA. Both programs required daily close reading, argument analysis, and persuasive writing, which are the core skills CARS tests.
TUTORING AND TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have tutored for over 10 years, one-on-one and in classrooms, with students from middle school through college. As an undergraduate, I was hired directly by the University of Michigan's Comprehensive Studies Program to tutor students from small, rural, and underrepresented high schools. At Columbia, I was a teaching assistant for three master's-level courses: Global Health Perspectives, Systems Thinking for Maternal Health, and Research Design and Data Collection. I also spent a year teaching English in a classroom in Spain. Working with learners of different ages, backgrounds, and goals taught me to adapt my teaching to each student.
MY CARS APPROACH
I teach students to identify the author's main argument and tone and to justify every answer with evidence from the passage. We review missed questions to find the reasoning error behind each one, then build pacing for timed practice. My goal is to turn CARS from a stressful hurdle into a section students feel confident about, and even enjoy.
