Hi, my name is Jason! I hold a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics & Statistics and Economics from Johns Hopkins University, where I graduated with a 4.00 GPA, and a Master's degree in Biostatistics from Boston University, where I earned a 3.98 GPA. I also achieved a perfect 800 on the SAT Math section and a 780 on the Reading/Writing section. My academic training in mathematics, statistics, and economics has provided me with both deep subject knowledge and strong problem-solving skills that I bring into every tutoring session. Over the past five years, I have worked with students of all levels--middle school through graduate school--helping them succeed in subjects such as Algebra I & II, Geometry, Precalculus, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Statistics, and advanced courses like Multivariable Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, and graduate-level Statistics. Beyond mathematics, I tutor economics at both introductory and advanced levels, including Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Economic Theory, and Monetary Analysis. I also specialize in test preparation for the SAT, ACT, and GRE, offering students proven strategies and customized practice to boost their scores.

My tutoring style is patient, supportive, and highly personalized. I understand that every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to each individual: whether that means walking step-by-step through practice problems, offering visual explanations, or focusing on big-picture reasoning. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable parts and connecting abstract ideas to real-world applications, which helps students gain confidence and develop lasting understanding. My goal is not only to help students perform well on exams and assignments but also to build critical thinking and problem-solving skills that will serve them long after our sessions.

Biostatistics

Biostatistics

I hold a Master's of Science (M.S.) in Biostatistics from Boston University with a strong foundation in probability, statistical inference, regression, and experimental design. I have applied these methods in academic and professional settings, including analyzing real-world healthcare and clinical data. I am proficient in R, Python, SAS, and SQL, and I focus on helping students build intuition alongside technical skills. I'm especially experienced in explaining complex statistical concepts clearly and supporting coursework, exams, and applied projects.
Data Analysis

Data Analysis

I hold a Master's degree in Statistics from Boston University and have extensive experience analyzing and interpreting large datasets in academic research and professional roles. My work has included developing statistical models, conducting predictive analyses, and creating data visualizations to support decision-making. I am proficient in applying data analytics to real-world problems and in clearly explaining both technical concepts and practical applications to learners.
Tableau

Tableau

I use Tableau regularly in my professional role to design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards for business and healthcare analytics. My experience includes connecting Tableau to SQL-based data sources, cleaning and transforming data, and creating clear visualizations that support decision-making. I focus on best practices for dashboard design, KPI reporting, and communicating insights to non-technical stakeholders. I also help students learn how to structure analyses and translate raw data into effective, actionable visuals. I hold a Master's of Science (M.S.) in Biostatistics.
