About me: Angelina K. was born and raised in Minsk, Belarus. She started studying classical piano at 5 and, at 8, she fell in love with singing when she met her voice teacher who introduced Angelina to jazz music. While receiving her primary education, Angelina participated in international vocal competitions and festivals in Europe and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). At 17 she was awarded a scholarship to attend Adelphi University’s Honors College on Long Island, NY and moved to the United States. Angelina graduated summa cum laude from Adelphi in May 2022. In 2021 and 2022, Angelina participated in the Boysie Lowery Living Jazz Residency, having performed at the Clifford Brown Jazz Festival. Currently Angelina performs in New York City and the tri-state area, most recently having collaborated with Sofar Sounds, NPR Live @HOME Sessions, the Hartford Jazz Society, and the New Brunswick Jazz Project. Angelina has sung at venues like Ornithology Jazz Club, Birdland Jazz Club, Room623, Chelsea Table + Stage, and others. Just recently, Angelina became a finalist in the 2025 Ella Fitzgerald Jazz Vocal Competition.
