I graduated magna cum laude with my Bachelor’s degree from NYU, where I built a strong academic foundation and gained extensive experience meeting high-level writing standards. Before college, I attended a rigorous private college-prep high school. I have worked with middle school, high school, and college students in both virtual and in-person settings, always focusing on helping them grow their writing skills while also developing a voice that is uniquely their own.

When it comes to essays, I can step in at any stage of the process: brainstorming ideas, building outlines, drafting, or polishing final revisions. I regularly work with students on application essays for high school and college, academic assignments, and other projects where strong writing is needed. My guidance emphasizes clarity, organization, and grammar, while ensuring that students maintain their authentic voice and perspective.

I also enjoy supporting creative writing projects. Whether it’s idea development, storytelling techniques, or experimenting with style, I strive to make the process exciting and personal. As a script reader for the Austin Film Festival and a former SNL script department intern, I bring specialized experience in narrative storytelling and can also help with short stories, scripts, and teleplays. My sessions are conversational and collaborative, creating a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning through practice.

While I consider myself a perfectionist, my goal as a tutor isn’t to simply correct papers or take over a student’s work. Instead, I guide students to understand why revisions matter so that they can apply new skills independently. Every change we make is about strengthening their confidence and ensuring their voice shines through. Whether the goal is completing a school essay, preparing for standardized tests, or writing a standout application, I want each student to feel supported, capable, and empowered as a writer!

Creative Writing

Creative Writing

Creative writing was a core part of my curriculum at NYU, where I took multiple classes in the Master’s Creative Writing Program as an undergraduate. NYU’s MFA Writing Program is one of the most respected in the country, and my training under award-winning novelists gave me advanced skills in storytelling, narrative structure, and the craft of prose. Beyond my formal studies, I’ve continued to pursue my own writing, regularly publishing original work on Substack. I also have experience mentoring peers and younger writers, helping them develop their unique voice, strengthen their style, and bring clarity to their creative projects.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

I have been tutoring essays since high school, supporting students in everything from class assignments to college applications. At NYU, my essay writing was published in Confluence, a platform that features teacher-nominated essays from across the university. I also write essays professionally for Gut Instinct Media, giving me real-world experience in clear, persuasive communication. Whether you need help with revisions, outlining, or application essays, I provide structured guidance while encouraging you to develop your unique voice. My goal is not only to improve a single paper but also to build lasting writing skills and confidence.
Film

Film

I have written and produced multiple feature and short screenplays. I previously interned in the script department at Saturday Night Live, where I gained insight into sketch comedy for the screen and teleplays. I also serve as a script reader and provide coverage for the Austin Film Festival. Whether you are writing your first screenplay, working on a short film, or polishing revisions, I can help you strengthen structure, pacing, and voice for the screen!
Theater

Theater

I am a produced playwright and director, with multiple full-length and short plays staged across New York City. My training and experience give me deep knowledge of theatrical structure, dialogue, and character development. I’ve also worked with actors and writers in rehearsal settings, which helps me guide students in bringing scripts to life on stage. Whether you’re writing a play, preparing for performance, or exploring theater as a form, I can provide practical feedback and creative strategies to support your goals.

Experience helping high school and college students strengthen their writing skills. I attended a college-prep high school, studied writing at NYU, and have performed freelance tutoring throughout high school and college. I am also a journalist for a media company where I write about cultural and social issues. Whether academic writing, specific assignments, college essays, or social/cultural analysis, I focus on building confidence while ensuring students maintain their unique voice and style.
