I'm a 2015 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where I majored in History with a writing-intensive focus, and I have been passionate about writing and communication throughout my academic and professional career. I earned a perfect score on the SAT Writing section and was accepted into Stanford’s Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) in Expository Writing, where I developed my skills in crafting clear and compelling essays. Over the past ten years, I have worked in investment, strategy, marketing, and communications roles that required me to review, draft, and refine thousands of documents. These experiences honed my ability to identify the unique elements of a story and shape them into a polished and persuasive final product. I also author a Substack newsletter where I publish essays on business strategy and brand building, honing my ability to translate complex concepts into engaging, accessible writing.

In addition to my professional experience, which also includes 6+ years of pro bono consulting work for nonprofits, I have 5+ years of experience tutoring and mentoring students. My approach is highly personalized and collaborative: I begin by helping students brainstorm topics that reflect their authentic voice and experiences, then work with them to structure their ideas into a cohesive and cogent narrative. For expository writing, I emphasize clarity of argument, logical organization, and strong evidence, guiding students to write with precision and confidence.

I believe that strong writing is not only about getting into college but also about building a skill set that will serve students for years to come. My goal is to make the writing process less overwhelming and more empowering, equipping students with tools and confidence they can apply beyond a single essay. Whether working on the Common App personal statement, supplemental essays, or academic expository writing, I bring patience, encouragement, and a focus on excellence to every session.
