Hello, I’m Amin and I'm here to help you get into your dream school! I graduated from Harvard with an honors degree in Economics and a language citation in Chinese. Along the way, I've won writing awards and have crafted business strategy at leading companies.

For more than a decade, I've mentored students through the college admissions process. I've dedicated hundreds of hours to one-on-one instruction, helping students craft powerful essays and achieve top SAT/ACT scores. Outside of individual tutoring, I’ve volunteered for local Harvard admissions committees. I've also led group workshops on college admissions and have taught internationally. My students have been admitted to Stanford, Brown, and Dartmouth and have received scholarships to U Miami and SMU.

What sets me apart is my own Harvard story. While my metrics were strong, I wasn’t the valedictorian or a perfect test score applicant. In fact, many of my teachers scoffed when I mentioned I was applying to Harvard. What set me apart was a compelling college essay that my admissions officer specifically mentioned as a key factor in my admission.

My approach is simple: help students build an application that admissions officers genuinely want to accept. Having gone through a highly competitive high school, I understand how to efficiently achieve excellent results. For the SAT/ACT, I emphasize drilling weak points, question strategy, and understanding the mechanics of the test. For college essays, I avoid spending time on simple grammar and instead focus on prose, reflection, and storytelling. I’m a perfectionist who won’t leave any stone unturned until we get a result that you are proud of.

No matter your background, we all have a compelling story to tell. My mission is to help you craft an application that confidently shares yours. Too often, applicants with lots of talent miss out on their top schools because of weak essays, low test scores, and poorly packaged applications. Working together, we can achieve excellence.

I specialize in preparing for intense multiple-round interviews and writing compelling resumes that stand out from other applicants. What truly sets my coaching apart is my background as a national award-winning debater. An interview is more than a test of your knowledge; it's a test of your ability to communicate, persuade, and think on your feet. I don't just prep you on what to say—I teach you how to deliver your answers with the clarity and confidence that will set you apart. I specialize in helping students master behavioral interviews with compelling stories that demonstrate a winning personality, conquer technical questions, craft a professional narrative to highlight their career aspirations, and build unshakeable confidence to project a strong image. Hello! I am a first-generation Harvard graduate with an honors degree in Economics and secondary in Chinese language. Personal Statements

As a dedicated writing coach, I partner with students to transform the stressful task of essay writing into an empowering journey of self-discovery. My approach moves beyond punctuation and grammar, focusing instead on helping you find your authentic voice and sharing a compelling story. Telling my own story well was a key factor in my admissions to Harvard University according to my own admission’s officer - my primary goal is for you to gain admission to your dream school by writing a strong essay. Together, we’ll brainstorm unique ideas that avoid clichés, uncover the perfect topic that reveals your character, and structure a compelling narrative that will be memorable to admissions committees. I provide structured support at every step—from initial concept to final polish. Over the years, I’ve pioneered successful methods to help students find an interesting topic, distill wordy drafts into polished pieces, and write essays that are memorable to Ivy League admissions officers. I’ve spent hundreds of hours mentoring students on college admissions. My students have gained admissions to Princeton, Stanford, Dartmouth, SMU, and the University of Miami. I have successfully published prize-winning long form articles in literary publications and have also won awards for research papers. Outside of teaching, I enjoy writing poetry and screenplays. For your hard work in the classroom to translate to elite admissions, your story needs to be told well. I'm excited to help you write your next chapter—let's get started!

Thoughtful and Insightful Tutoring guidance!

Amin was a fantastic tutor for my Master of Education essay at Harvard. From the very first lesson, he created a comfortable space where we could dive into both the big picture and the fine details. He helped me think deeply about the purpose of my essay, which stories truly mattered, and how to convey them clearly. We went through my draft line by line, and his feedback was always thoughtful, actionable, and tailored to my needs. I especially appreciated how flexible he was—open to my feedback, and always adapting his approach to help me strengthen my writing. If you’re looking for someone who combines strategic insights with practical, detailed editing, Amin is an excellent choice.
