Hey, I'm Will! I'm a senior student-athlete at Cornell University studying Classics, Italian, and Business. I'm originally from New York City.

Whether you’re preparing for standardized tests, struggling with college essays, or just starting your Italian journey, I’d love the opportunity to help you realize what you’re capable of!

I’m on the Lightweight Rowing Team at Cornell, sing and play guitar in a student band, and write songs in my free time. I studied at the University of Bologna in Italy for 8 months, where I gained C2-level fluency in Italian. I’ve also taught Italian and Ancient Greek in the New York City Public Schools, running after-school language programs in Harlem.

As a humanities major and lifelong reader, I’m passionate about helping students grow as writers and thinkers. I scored a 780 on the SAT Reading & Writing section, and I know firsthand how daunting the college process can feel—I struggled with my own essays and test prep before developing a system that worked. Now, I love working with students to break down big tasks into manageable strategies tailored to their learning styles.

My language teaching style is contextual and conversation-based—I focus on introducing grammar and vocabulary naturally, in ways that stick. I’ve found this to be the most effective and engaging approach, especially for beginners and intermediate learners.

Above all, I aim to create a supportive, down-to-earth environment. Because I'm close in age to many of my students, I can relate to their experiences and challenges. I want students to feel confident, empowered, and understood—never talked down to.

Let’s work together and make progress you’re proud of!

Guitar

I've been playing electric and acoustic guitar for 8 years now. I play at least an hour each day, and I am a member of a popular band at Cornell called Blind-Eye. I play everything, but my favorites are Blues Rock, Bluegrass, and Indy music. If you want I can share a video because it's a more objective measure.
