Hello! My name is Raj S., and I hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry with a focus on organometallic chemistry. My academic path includes doctoral research at National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Drug Design at the University of Minnesota. Most recently, I worked as a Research Scientist at the Medicines for All Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University, where I developed and optimized synthetic routes for pharmaceutical compounds. With over nine years of experience across academia and industry, I bring both deep subject knowledge and real-world application to every tutoring session.

Before entering full-time research, I spent two rewarding years as a private tutor in Mumbai, India, working with high school and undergraduate students in general and organic chemistry. I have also mentored graduate students and interns in laboratory environments, helping them strengthen their conceptual understanding and critical thinking. From early on, I realized that every student learns differently, so I tailor each session to individual needs—keeping lessons interactive, concept-driven, and aligned with each learner’s pace and style.
