Hello! My name is Tim. I recently graduated from Yale University (Yale Divinity School) with a Master of Divinity degree, and I earned my B.A. from St. Olaf College, where I majored in Sociology/Anthropology (minor in Latin American Studies) and graduated summa cum laude. My academic background is wide-ranging, spanning the humanities (writing, reading, debate, literature, theological study) and social sciences (sociology, anthropology, political science, quantitative/qualitative research methods). Additionally, I pursued significant coursework in Spanish throughout high school and college, and I spent a year in Ecuador conducting research through a Fulbright grant.
Thank you for considering me as a potential tutor! I thoroughly enjoy this work. It feels meaningful to tailor lesson plans to each student's individual learning style, and it's always exciting to see a student experience those "lightbulb moments" when a concept finally clicks!
Colleagues and friends describe me as warm, positive, energetic, and affirming. It would be a joy to work with you and support you in achieving your learning goals. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.
