I’m a passionate tutor helping students succeed in reading, writing, spelling, and Art History. I hold a BA from Barnard College and a master’s in Art History from Columbia University, and I have extensive experience teaching Middle and Upper school students, as well as adult learners and travelers seeking to deepen their knowledge.

“Teach the way you would want to be taught” is my philosophy: clear, thoughtful guidance at a pace that works for each learner. I enjoy discovering each student’s unique strengths and creating lessons that are effective, engaging and fun.

As an art historian and curator working over thirty years in a major NYC museum, with hands-on teaching experience in college-level survey courses, I specialize in AP Art History and essay writing across all art periods—from ancient to contemporary. Whether your student is visual, hands-on, reflective, energetic, or an adult eager to learn, I tailor sessions to their goals, building confidence and deep understanding along the way.
