I bring years of tutoring and teaching experience across a wide age range, specializing in reading and writing comprehension, as well as elementary and middle school math and science.
I spent three years at Wimpfheimer Nursery School, working in both childcare and substitute teaching roles with children aged 2–5, and I have over seven years of experience in private childcare that included one-on-one tutoring. Additionally, I have 3 years of experience helping high school students with essay writing and college prep through Prompt, and I’m very comfortable tutoring via Zoom when needed.
My tutoring philosophy centers on patience, empathy, and compassion. I strive to “meet students where they’re at,” taking the time to understand their unique strengths, challenges, and learning styles. My goal is always to make learning approachable by breaking down tough concepts into manageable parts, in order to help students build the confidence and strategies to excel.
